Description
Continues to develop college writing with increased emphasis on critical essays, argumentation, and research, developing these competencies through the examination of a range of texts about the human experience. Requires students to locate, evaluate, integrate, and document sources and effectively edit for style and usage. Prerequisite: Students must successfully complete ENG 111 or its equivalent, and must be able to use word processing software. Lecture 3 hours per week.

LIVE ONLINE. Instructor in classroom 3209. Hybrid - combines real-time instruction (days/times established) using Zoom (desktop web-conferencing software) and online instruction (using Canvas).. Students who enroll in this course should contact Distance Ed at 434.832.7745 with questions. Students may be required to supply their ear buds with webcam or headset/mic to participate in this class. Class sessions are recorded and with proper equipment and training, students may connect from off campus or in 3209. Students should log into this Canvas course on the first day of classes. This is an OER course, which means there are no textbook costs for this course. Students will use electronic materials but may have the option of purchasing printed textbooks. Students will need regular and reliable internet access in order to access the electronic resources. Prerequisite: ENG 111
